What gauge damp proof membrane do I need?
1200 gauge is the common specification under domestic floor slabs. Step up to 2000 gauge where the sub base is sharp or trafficked and 1000 gauge covers lighter duties. Check the job specification where one exists.
How should DPM joints be sealed?
Lap sheets generously and tape the joints with double sided DPM jointing tape connecting into the wall DPC so the barrier is continuous. Moisture finds any gap left unsealed.
Is Toughsheet DPM reusable as a protection sheet?
