What thickness DPM does a floor need?
Building regulations typically call for 1200 gauge polythene under concrete floors. Lap sheets by at least 150mm seal with jointing tape and dress the membrane up walls to link with the DPC.
Where does the damp proof course sit in a wall?
A minimum of 150mm above external ground level bedded across the full wall thickness. It must connect with the floor membrane so damp has no route past either barrier.
