What grit sequence should I sand through?
Coarse 60 to 80 removes material 120 smooths and 180 to 240 finishes ready for paint. Skipping more than one step leaves scratches the finer paper cannot remove.
When do I use wet and dry paper?
Between paint coats and on fillers where a fine slurry cut leaves the flattest surface. Used wet the paper clogs less and lasts several times longer.
