How do I choose the right length insulation fixing?
Add the insulation thickness to the required anchorage depth in the substrate. The Fix-Pa range runs 100mm to 240mm and Etx-M 95mm to 235mm so board from around 50mm to 200mm is covered with proper embedment.
What is the difference between Fix-Pa and Etx-M fixings?
Fix-Pa is the 10mm diameter anchor with a galvanised steel pin for heavier duty masonry and concrete fixing. Etx-M is the 8mm version suited to lighter boards and thinner build ups. Both come in contractor boxes of 100.
What are insulation spiral dowels for?
Fixing board to board where there is no hard substrate behind such as insulation over insulation or into soft backgrounds. They twist in and grip the board core in 50mm 85mm and 125mm lengths.
